Good Start to a Nice App
Commit is a nice app. It does one thing--helps you track your efforts to improve your behavior--and does it well. It also boasts a simple, intuitive, and elegant UI that makes it a delight to use.
I use it to track my progress in adhering to my New Years resolutions, and it works well. Here are a couple changes that would make it even better for my needs.
1. Allow the user to edit the order in which his commitments appear. My commitments are in daily chronological order, and it would be convenient to check them off in that order, even if they were not entered into the app in that order. This could look like a standard editable list, like "Favorites" in the Phone app.
2. Some of my resolutions only apply to my job (e.g., empty inbox by the end of each day), so it doesnt help to track them over the weekend. In fact, its depressing to see my "streak" interrupted each weekend. Commit would be more useful if it could adapt for workweek-only (or once-a-week/month) commitments.
3. Fix reminders as described by other reviewers.
4. Enable user to "uncheck" inadvertently checked commitments.
5. I too note the "phrasing problem" identified by other users. ("Did you take my vitamins today?"). I do not know how to solve this, but it would be impressive if you could.
Thank you for creating this helpful app!
